Music for Little Mozarts (Ages 4-6)

Students follow the adventures of Beethoven Bear and Mozart Mouse from the playroom to the recital stage as they learn about music using the Music for Little Mozarts piano method. The full-color characters come alive with real stuffed animals available with this series. Music for Little Mozarts truly integrates age-appropriate piano instruction with musicianship activities that promote overall musical development.

Basic Prep Course (Ages 5 and up)

Full-color and lovable character illustrations enhance each lesson along with tuneful melodies that take into consideration the reach of smaller hands. The Prep Course is a well-balanced and complete curriculum in six levels: Levels A, B, C, D, E and F-enough to cover about three years of study for the average student. Following Prep Course Level F, students smoothly transition into Level 3 of Alfred's Basic Piano Course.

Premier Piano Course (Ages 6-12)

Alfred's Premier Piano Course is a lovely, well-thought-out piano method for children. Basic Piano Library (Ages 7 and up)

The Basic Piano Course is the ideal piano method for building long-term camaraderie between students and teachers. Its easy step-by-step approach emphasizes correct playing habits and teaches note reading through interval recognition. Upon completion of Level 6, pupils smoothly transition into the Alfred Masterwork Library and perform piano music by famous composers.

All in One Course

Some teaching studios are so busy, it takes an experienced captain at the helm to keep all of the lesson assignments straight. Now you can sail into smoother waters by simplifying lesson procedures with Alfred's Basic All-in-One Course-using one book. We've taken all of the pages from Lesson Books 1A and 1B plus selected pages from Theory, Recital and Fun Solo Books and combined them into a sequential series of five self-contained books. At the completion of Book 5, students will be ready to go directly into Level 3 of Alfred's Basic Piano Course.

Later Beginner Course

When eight-, nine- or ten-year-old students begin piano lessons, they need to feel they are progressing more rapidly than younger students. So we created a series with a spark of sophistication for later beginners over the age of 8. The accelerated pacing still features the careful instructional sequencing and attractive design of the regular Alfred's Basic Piano Course, but presented in a more condensed fashion. After Levels Complete 2 & 3, pupils may transition into Level 4 of Alfred's Basic Piano Course.

Adult Piano Course

The method of teaching beginning adults must necessarily be different from a presentation for beginning children. Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course is the most popular of all adult courses because it provides a stimulating curriculum and a wide variety of musical pieces that especially please adult students.

Masterwork Classics

A progressive repertoire series designed to motivate students while allowing them to progress evenly and smoothly from the earliest classics toward intermediate literature. These pieces are from the standard classical literature, chosen to appeal both to teacher and student. Each volume comes with a corresponding CD.
