At a very young age Kim Breedlove entered the elite level of producing legendary quality instruments. Today, he serves as the Master Luthier, Chief Designer, and Art Director for all Breedlove instruments. Though Kim is the creative brain behind Breedlove Guitars, the company itself was actually founded in 1980, by two others. His brother, Larry Breedlove, and his friend, Steve Henderson.
Cort began in the 1960's and the Cort name was a shortened form of Cortez, a brand of mostly acoustic guitars made in Japan. Cort’s guitar output routinely exceeds 1,000,000 guitars annually from it's factories in South Korea. Cort produces a wide variety of acoustic guitars with the main emphasis being on producing a good product at a competitive price. Cort’s main production focus is contract work for numerous other companies like Ibanez, Parkwood, Schecter and G&L Tribute.
